Sidekick is retired

Sidekick was a free offline companion for IT helpdesk techs. A floating circle, a searchable library of vetted PowerShell and CMD commands, and a hard rule that it never ran anything itself. It shipped in May at version 0.1.0.

It didn't find its people. Rather than leave a tool sitting on the site that we aren't maintaining, we're retiring it properly.

What's gone. The download page, the product page, the card on Work, and the mention in the press kit. The sitemap updates itself, so those links drop out too.

If you already have it installed, it keeps working exactly as it did. It runs entirely offline and never needed us for anything. It just won't get updates, and there's nothing new to check for. Our Terms still cover it, so you're protected the same as before. That's version 1.5, which reworded a few clauses to say "discontinued but still installed" instead of naming Sidekick. Nothing about your rights changed.

The download files are gone too, so an old direct link won't work any more.

Bunnychart is unaffected, and Squishybets and Echos of Heaven are still on the way.
