Sidekick
Your IT command companion.
Sidekick is a free, offline desktop companion for IT helpdesk techs. A small floating circle sits on top of every window. Click it and a searchable library of 545 vetted PowerShell and CMD commands opens instantly. Describe the problem in plain English, fill in the blanks with a guided form, and copy the ready-to-run command to your clipboard. No more digging through docs, half-remembered syntax, or risky copy-paste off random forums. Every built-in command is sourced from Microsoft Learn, and dangerous ones warn you before you run them. Sidekick never executes anything; it only copies text for you to paste yourself.
Find the fix fast
Fuzzy search plus ask-by-problem (type a question like "user can't sign in") across Exchange, Active Directory, Entra, Intune, Teams, networking, Windows, and more.
Fill, don't fumble
Guided parameter forms turn placeholder templates into ready commands, with a live preview and input validation.
Learn while you work
Plain-English explainers, next-step suggestions (chkdsk to sfc to DISM), and prerequisite hints teach the workflow, not just the line.
Built-in safety
Irreversible commands flag with a confirm step and recovery notes, and an Advanced tier gates senior-only operations.
Yours, private, free
Fully offline, no accounts, no telemetry, never auto-runs anything. It only copies text you paste yourself.
